Awesome movies you would like to recommend

So as I am making this thread I’m watching an awesome movie called The Pursuit of Happiness and honestly I can not express how sad this movie is. I would like to start off by recommending this movie to anyone who likes deep, meaningful movies, where it shows the harsh truth that many people are living. I also like to say that any movies are welcomed to be said no matter the genre, there’s a thread about anime so if you guys have any anime movies you’d like to recommend feel free to put them here.
Edit: Movies I’m listing

  • Pursuit of Happiness

  • Hacksaw Ridge

Edit 2: Just got movies spoiled, please don’t spoil any movie and if you feel like sharing a bit of back story use the blur to cover up back story you’re giving. (Can anyone show how to use it!)
Edit 3: Wasn’t a spoil :joy: misunderstanding

100% recommend this one too.

Full Metal Jacket—it’s from the late 80s but is fantastic.

I remember Pursuit of Happiness. Classic example of nothing going right and everything going wrong. Guy can’t catch a break

Have you watched The Martian (2015)?

For everyone who missed the mid 90´s scene in Manchester at Hacienda - you MUST see:

  • Its all gone Pete Tong.

Or if Swedish you can always watch my latest documentary series that was released just two weeks ago on Swedish Broadcast Corporation. About a normal bloke who was recruited by the police to infiltrate the Hells Angels and Bandidos. That turned out to merely be the start of eight years under cover until he was exposed as an infiltrator…

Some of my favourites have already been mentioned above. Love Denzel movies! Im also super immature with my movie choices so often end up watching:

  • American Pie series
  • King Fu Panda series
  • Sharknado series
  • any of Sasha Baron Cohens’s movies
  • Jackass series
  • Ted
  • Scott Pilgrim
  • F&F Tokyo Drift

When I am bored. Others i default to often are:

  • Harry Potter series (especially with Nidoran around)
  • any Godzilla movie
  • Michael Bay Transformers series
  • Alien series
  • Predator series
  • Jurassic Park/World series
  • Ghostbusters
  • Pacific Rim (mostly only the first, not Uprising)
  • Dark Crystal
  • Labyrinth
  • Avatar
  • Underworld series
  • Fast and the Furious series
  • Karate Kid
  • About Time
  • Lucy
  • anything by Tim Burton
  • John Wick trilogy

Some recommendations for one that I may not watch regularly but do recommend to watch at least once:

  • Devil (directed by M. Knight Shyamalan)
  • Splice
  • Karate Kid (remake)
  • I am Legend
  • Focus
  • Split
