Some bases seem to be able to exceed the lvl 160 threshold, is this hacking or a glitch?

They would probably tell me it’s a visual glitch.
It’s under investigation already and is on WD tracker.
From WD site- [War Dragons] Players able to level towers up to 161 and 162 when current cap is 160

That would have to be the stoopidest cheat ever, as it would be caught very quickly and reported upteen times.

Most cheats are very stupid. Most cheaters either dont care or are convinced they wont get caught.

That player on that team would certainly care and would certainly not want to get caught. This is very different from cheating in assault, where I agree the cheater simply doesn’t care, as they tend to be newly created accounts. Also different from killer Kinnara, as even that requires someone to video.
@moderators I might suggest the screenshots be removed to protect the player’s anonymity while the matter is being investigated.

Definitely, screenshots with player names do not belong in the forums. With them this becomes a call out thread and not a bug investigation thread (which it likely should be)

Or maybe have the players name and the team blurred out at least.
But sadly I think the damage has already been done since the post has been up for at least 4 hours now.
Hopefully it is just a visual bug, cause lets face it this game makes an infested house look good, and not the player actually trying to cheat.

Dear WD members,. this topic is about my base with towers 162. I am so sad to see some already started accusing me as a cheater without waiting for investigating. I am a very well known player and I never cheat. I don’t know what happened but I can tell you the following:. I upgraded my towers to 160 then it allowed me to 161,. I immediately wrote a ticket to PG. I thought maybe max towers is 162, then it seemed I have an open fort. I stopped immediately waiting for a reply from PG. Please
stop this accusations. I did nothing wrong and not my mistake at all. hopefully PG will solve the issue and get me back to towers 160. thank you for understanding!

Come on now. If it was a glitch then hopefully it gets taken care of asap but you’re on one of the games top teams and have been playing long enough to have max towers. How did you not know they werent releasing 5 tower levels together when all event announcements stated 158 to 160 and all your teammates had 160s?
Not saying you hacked anything but this certainly seems like knowingly utilizing a glitch, especially if you’ve been doing anything in atlas where people would have to hit those towers. Then there’s also the earned fort points for those levels

Come on people, you should all know by now to not ascribe to cheating when PG’s continued incompetence can explain things.

Understand it’s a PG issues but then don’t cry and ask for resources back when they get rolled back. I’m sure every player has had success with the extra levels and other players have lost troops because of this. Exploit a glitch then deal with the consequences.

Oh no, one player was able to upgrade their towers 2 extra levels. This might be the end of the world as we know it guys. Better panic and accuse the user of exploiting atlas, pvp, and event points.

You can try to play it off by overexaggerating people’s responses but was still an exploit. The player even stated that they felt like something wasnt right, wrote to support and then still upgraded those towers anyway.
I’ll remind you that storing towers during a pvp event was determined to be cheating by PG and can result in a temporary 5 day ban so it doesnt really matter if it was one person or one hundred or how many people were affected. The tos exist for a reason.
I only wish the current lineup of staff were as serious about it as pggalileo was. I may rarely post but I’ve still been reading the forums for years. The last couple of years we’ve seen quite a bit of rewarding being giving to cheaters and exploiters. Like returning the resources they used to do so.
