General

  • [Android] Fixed an issue where links sent via in-game were not clickable.

Spells

  • Fixed an issue where Spell Flux and Spell Flux-based spells were able to bypass and destroy towers with Invincibility Shields, which should not have been happening.

Edited by Arelyna

  • Fixed an issue where there was a delay between activating Way of the Blade and being able to use the spell.

:chunk: PERFORMANCE AND CRASH ISSUES

  • Fixed some performance issues within the Rider Menu

:dodo: USER INTERFACE

General

  • Riders, not bonded with a dragon, will now rotate in the Rider Menu

Gameplay

  • Fixed a typo when Spring’s Renewal was used during Battle.
  • Fixed an issue where tapping “Train Now” or a Dragon’s thumbnail in the Battle Result screen would cause dragon thumbnails and other info to disappear.

:silverchest: AUTO UPKEEP

Players in Atlas will now have the option to have their upkeep automatically paid at any of their castles. How it works:

  • Navigate to your castle’s HQ page
  • Click the ‘Enable Auto Upkeep’ button on the right hand side to enable automatic upkeep payments for the respective castle
    • Note: Only team leaders, officers, and the respective castle’s Governor can enable/disable automatic upkeep payments
  • The total cost of your upkeep will be withdrawn from your team bank 24h prior to the upkeep’s expiration time
    • If your team does not have enough resources, a second attempt will be made 2h prior to the expiration time. If this one fails as well, you will have to manually pay upkeep.
  • The status of your upkeep payments will be communicated to the team via system mail notifications
  • Paying upkeep manually does not disable automatic upkeep payments i.e. the next payment period will still be automated unless disabled

Please discuss and ask questions about this release in the Official Discussion Thread.

As previously mentioned, we found a bug with Spell Flux, which is the underlying spell to Incinerate, and the code they share. Spell Flux was intended to function such that it would do a lot of damage, which in most cases would destroy a tower, except when the tower is shielded.

However, we heard everyone’s feedback that this change would constitute a nerf to all current dragons that have Spell Flux and its variants (Incinerate and Dragonfire Missile) as the bug has become a feature of the spell to which players have grown accustomed. We are planning to undo our previous change to Spell Flux; however, this change will not make it into Version 4.99 before the release next week. We plan to reintroduce the current Spell Flux functionality in our next release after Version 4.99, which will be during the first week of June.

We apologize for all the frustration and confusion that this has caused everyone.

4.99 is now live in both the Google Play and App Store! If you don’t immediately see the available update in your respective store, please note that it may take a little while to populate on your device.

War declarations have also now been unblocked as of this time.

Hey all,

Thank you to everyone for reporting any ongoing issues in regards to the 4.99 Update and last week’s Temple Raid event. Please see below the current status of some of the more widespread issues:

  • “Webpage Busy” errors when attempting event attacks

    • STATUS: Currently Investigating
    • This issue seems to be affecting players who are mostly playing on older iPad devices (iPad Air, iPad 4, etc.).
    • If you are not on these devices or if you are experiencing this issue outside of events, please let our support team know!
  • Connection Issue error message

    • STATUS: Currently Investigating
    • This issue affects both chats and Invite Banners not appearing at the top of player screens while in-game.
  • Unable to Load into Game after Updating to 4.99

    • STATUS: Currently Investigating
    • This issue seems to be less widespread and intermittent, but the issue remains one of our top priorities. Please reach out if you are unable to load the game after updating to 4.99.

PLEASE NOTE: This is only a list of the most critical, widespread issues that have been reported since Temple Raid’s battle phase began. We acknowledge that other issues are still occurring and encourage you to report them as you experience them!

The issues above are stemming from a mix of both server and client issues, and members of our QA and Engineering teams have been working on resolving them throughout the past weekend and into this week. We are working to find reproducible steps and fixes for these issues as quickly as possible.

As always, every report helps! If you are continuing to experience any of the above issues, please help us investigate further by submitting a report to the Dragons Support team (support.wardragons.com). Please include how often you are experiencing this issue (saw it once / happens every few times / happening frequently / happening every time, etc.) and what you were doing when this occurred.

Thanks again for your patience, and we’ll continue updating with more news as we have it!
